Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; this is a temporary position to end on or before June 30, 2023 with a possibility of renewal on an annual basis if funds and/or program needs exist.

About the Position:

The Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Equity Programs (DIEP) supports the CSUF mission of preparing our diverse student body for academic and professional success. We develop and support practices, programming, and policies across the broad spectrum of inclusivity, equity and civility for the CSUF campus community. Through the provision of consultation and training, we strive to promote a campus community wherein students, staff and faculty are engaged in the values of inclusive excellence. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Learning Program Manager (Administrator I). The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude, an active, energetic mind, and a leadership style that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Under general direction of the Director of Engagement and Learning, the Learning Program Manager will develop, plan, promote, implement, and evaluate a learning program, such as training, workshops, and other programming, that supports the University, HRDI, and the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Programs' vision, mission, and strategic goals. The Manager serves in a leadership role, participates and works in collaboration with all units of the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Programs in devising and implementing our learning strategy, under the guidance of the Assistant VP. The Manager's primary responsibility is to manage the DEI Learning Program and oversee content development and facilitation for the Office. Other duties as assigned.


Essential Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a related field. Minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience. Demonstrated experience as a trainer or facilitator of education or professional development workshops (instructional or teaching experience may be considered). Demonstrated knowledge of DEI-related concepts, principles, and topics. Experience applying these concepts to the development and evaluation of related learning opportunities.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.


Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree from an accredited college or university. Previous work experience in higher education. Experience with supporting and empowering those who are less experienced in leading conversations about diversity and inclusion to build the Universitys internal capacity for equity-minded leadership. Experience with learning and development program creation and implementation for staff and managers.
