Job Description

Truckee Meadows Community College is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 4. This position will be the office manager to the Financial Aid, Scholarships, Student Employment Office. This position is responsible for maintaining reports on the department's financial budgets, follow-up and problem solve scholarship eligibility issues, complete forms and authorizations, attend outreach events, supervise student workers, process incoming scholarships, follow-up on student employment eligibility questions or problems, and will provide excellent customer service. This position will also serve as the web services liaison, support the financial aid coordinator for customer service by monitoring and responding to the financial aid emails, conduct in person and virtual financial aid appointments for students seeking general assistance with completing a FAFSA, assisting DACA students with financial aid questions and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: providing administrative/program support to professional staff and management; performing secretarial duties in support of a manager; coordinating communications between the manager, staff and program clientele; supervision of subordinate staff; researching information from internal and external sources; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above

Schedule

The typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
