About the Opportunity

Summary/Responsibilities:

We are seeking professionals who can help immediately with a large-scale strategic initiative at Northeastern University focused on building and validating Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) training systems and apps in advanced manufacturing contexts. Specifically, we are seeking an animator, designer, VR developer, and AR developer. Although the AR/VR training systems and apps will have the highest priority, there are also other projects that the professionals will be involved in, such as an educational game for engineering education, a game engine for interactive projects, and other AR projects with the Hololens. The professionals will work closely together on these projects with undergraduate, master, and PhD students as well as postdocs and faculty. The end goal will be to create innovative but also mature and usable products.

Qualifications:

We seek candidates who have significant experience with the Unity game engine and in developing games/AR/VR applications. Animators need to be familiar with Maya and handling CAD models. Candidates need to have at least a Bachelor's degree. Ideal applicants can start immediately. While candidates can work from home, we expect candidates to work in person with the rest of the team on the Boston campus at dedicated days. The position is only open to US persons (US Citizens or Permanent Residents).
