Job Summary:
The Departments of Faculty Development, English, and Grants & Sponsored Research at Rollins College are seeking a motivated self-starter to join their teams as a Coordinator for Faculty Development and Support!

Endeavor Foundation Center for Faculty Development
Coordinate Endeavor Center meetings and programming, including book discussions, roundtables, panels, new faculty orientations and ongoing programs, workshops, retreats, and individual and group consultations with the Director of the Endeavor Center (EMS, Outlook, campus Faculty/Staff Events Calendar).
Manage Director's calendar (Outlook).
Conduct research (e.g., working with institutional data, researching activities at other colleges, collecting relevant articles), and synthesize and summarize results.
Support the Director in developing an annual programming calendar.
Tracking participation in Endeavor Center programs and consultations (confidential information).
Manage Endeavor Center expenses (ChromeRiver).
Maintain Endeavor Center's websites (Cascade, WordPress, Canvas).
Solicit content for and prepare monthly faculty development newsletter (MailChimp).
Arrange catering and special needs for on- and off-campus Endeavor Center events.
Coordinate Director's travel and that of sponsored campus visitors (airline, hotel, rental car arrangements).

Department of English
Assist department in developing and implementing a comprehensive and effective marketing campaign (graphic design skills requested).
Conduct research (e.g., working with institutional data, researching activities at other colleges, collecting relevant articles), and synthesize and summarize results.
Work with the department chair to identify and forge strategic partnerships with community agencies and organizations and develop programs and initiatives that raise the profile of the Humanities and enhance and diversify the learning experiences of our students.
Assist department chair with developing and maintaining a 3-year course schedule.
Transcribe monthly department meeting minutes.
Coordinate travel for sponsored department guests and faculty job candidates including airline, hotel, rental car arrangements (very infrequent).
Assist department chair in managing the English Department budget and train faculty on how to use ChromeRiver.
Maintain the English Department's website (Cascade, WordPress, Canvas).
Assist department chair with scheduling of department meetings and events.
Train and supervise the department's work studies and student social media intern, delegating roles and responsibilities as needed.

Office of Grants & Sponsored Research (OGSR)
Maintain OGSR's website (Cascade).
Compile brief synopses of relevant grant and fellowship opportunities for faculty, and prepare monthly newsletter to disseminate.
Proofread grant proposal drafts and OGSR annual reports/news for correct grammar, formatting, etc.
Arrange catering and meeting space for on- and off-campus OGSR workshops, trainings, and other events.
Coordinate Director's travel and that of sponsored campus visitors (airline, hotel, rental car arrangements).

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a combination of education and experience may be substitutable.
Requires two to three years of experience in program coordination and/or office administration.
Experience with office budgeting/accounting methods and practices to process invoices and reconcile multiple budgets.
Demonstrated record of success and passion for coordinating administrative operations in a busy, service-oriented culture.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities without loss of composure.
Excellent time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule, and meet deadlines.
Ability to perform and coordinate complex office administrative work requiring the use of independent judgment and initiative.
Exhibits sound judgment and the ability to make reasonable decisions in the absence of direction.
Ability to balance conflicting priorities in order to manage workflow, ensure the completion of essential projects, and meet critical deadlines.
Strong written and verbal business communication skills; ability to communicate and coordinate with others on varied and occasionally complex issues in a courteous and professional manner.
Strong attention to detail in daily functions and communication in order to effectively research, develop, compile, and present information.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work professionally with campus colleagues, leadership, students and external constituents at all levels.
Modeling and delivering Rollins' service philosophy through competent, collaborative, responsive, respectful, and inclusive service to others.
Ability to take initiative to implement changes and new ideas to advance the College mission.
Ability to use tact and good judgment in resolving work problems and dealing with the public, students, staff, and faculty. Interacts professionally with internal and external constituents at all times.
Display strong proficiency using standard office equipment, computer software (i.e. MS Office), website updates, and social media.
Demonstrates advanced proficiency by quickly adapting to new technology and easily acquiring new technical skills.
Ability to contribute to, help foster, and sustain a diverse and inclusive learning and working environment at Rollins.
Demonstrated cross-cultural awareness and communication skills to maximize effective collaboration across diverse groups.
Ability to engage students and colleagues around issues of privilege, prejudice, bias, intolerance and effectively intervene when such issues arise in our community.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a college environment.

Work Schedule:
The Coordinator for Faculty Development and Support is a full-time, 11-month appointment, scheduled to work August through June, 7.5 hours/day, 37.5 hours per week. The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm*

*Flexible schedules or overtime may be required to meet the demands of the academic calendars.

Work Environment:
In-person, campus-based position working in an office environment.
Work requires some visual strain due to work on computer.
