Coordinator for Marketing & Strategic Communications - Georgetown University

Requirements

The Coordinator for Strategic Marketing and Communications is responsible for developing and executing marketing and communications strategies for Residential Living units. The coordinator will assess, identify and develop recruitment and retention strategies to meet identified academic and summer housing occupancy goals, by developing and maintaining a marketing plan for academic year housing and summer conferences.
  • Coordinates all social media initiatives for the department, using existing and developing platforms.
  • Designs and manages the Residential Living website.
  • Leads the team in compiling and presenting departmental reports, including the annual report.


Work Interactions

The Coordinator reports directly to the Director for Business Development & Summer Operations along with one other Coordinator. This position supervises one to two student assistants and works closely with all Residential Living units in the development of all marketing and communication projects.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's required.
  • The ideal candidate has 3 to 5 years of experience working in marketing and communications.
  • In addition to being highly innovative, the incumbent must have excellent communication and writing skills and be skilled in graphic design.
  • Previous student housing/higher education and/or hotel management/hospitality experience preferred.


Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certification:
  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or similar products. Should be skilled in Excel and Word.
  • Possess practical knowledge of Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Experience with photography and video is recommended.
