The UCLA Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering Department is looking to hire dynamic individuals with exceptional skills in finance management for the following Fund Manager positions:

The Fund Managers will provide fiscal managementofdepartmental funds (contracts, grants, gifts, etc.) from proposal preparation through fund closing. Duties will be performed in coordination with a second Fund Manager. Fund Manager dutiesinclude reviewing financial transactions, being theadministrativeliaisonto campus and funding agencies to providedocuments and answeradministrativequestions, andresolving discrepancies. Additionally, the Fund Managerwill work closely with the departmental staff team, and is expected to provide back-up for some administrative duties, when other staff are out of the office or unavailable. This is an entry-level position and appropriate training in fund management will be provided.

For Pre-Award Position (#33911)
As the pre-award analyst, this Fund Managerwill focus on pre-award financial management, particularly preparation ofnecessary documentation for research proposals to be submitted tofundingagencies.Duties include: developing spending plans with PIs, coordinating with campus offices for proposal submission, and attending to compliance with University policy and agency guidelines.

For Post-Award Position (#34000)
As the post-award analyst,this Fund Managerwill focus on post-award financial management, particularly accounting of funds and provision of administrative reports.Duties include establishment of new accounts, reconciling ledgers and preparing monthly financial reports, maintaining accounting files for audit acceptance, preparing reports for internal or external use, and processing fund close outs.

The target salary range for the positions are between $24.47 and $31.00 per hour.
