The Department of Economics at Denison seeks a Program Administrator to join our department of 14 full-time faculty and approximately 350 majors and minors. The college and the department are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming community for students, staff, and faculty.

This role manages and coordinates non-curricular programming for economics majors and minors, serving as primary contact and liaison with the career center, off-campus study office, and alumni network. Additionally, this role collaborates with the department chair in strategic planning related to experiential learning opportunities, student internship and career-related programming, alumni relations, and academic scheduling and events.

A successful candidate will possess either a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years demonstrated experience in administrative roles or an Associate's degree with at least three years of relevant experience. The candidate must have a proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and be well versed in data management. A candidate must have experience in managing event planning and travel logistics, and is preferred to have experience in higher education, academic administration, academic advising, and/or student life environment. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to motivate and collaborate with individuals and groups with varied backgrounds; have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and be self-motivated, self-directed, collegial, creative and results oriented.
