Summary of Duties:

CAHNRS Communications Web Developers report to the Web Services Manager. They play a key role in the support of digital marketing channels and project management for CAHNRS and WSU Extension, including daily administration, development, and maintenance of web sites. This position conceptualizes, manages, produces, develops, and designs a variety of digital marketing multi-media and web applications. Web Developers provide professional, creative, and technical assistance to clients and staff. They deliver a wide range of service and support activities including, but not limited to: systems analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of process/software solutions needs, account management, database and system application support and internet/web services.

Required Qualifications:

Positions require a Bachelor's degree and three (3) years professional experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Additional Requirements:

Technical proficiency in PHP, javascript, html/css, and related programming languages/technologies.
Demonstrated high-level proficiency in developing for the WordPress platform.
A strong portfolio of development work.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree or continued education/certifications in (a) related field(s).
Development of plugins and themes for the Wordpress CMS.
Demonstrated expertise and/or certification in Google Analytics.
Experience in higher education Familiarity or work with agricultural, natural resource, and related disciplines.
Basic understanding of Linux operating systems and CLI.
Experience with Git or other version control systems.
Experience with Apache and/or nginx web server configuration.
