Position Description:
Under the direction of the Center Business Manager at the National Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, & Student Testing (CRESST) housed within the School of Education & Information Studies, incumbent is responsible for assisting and managing the project work of the Center Principal Investigator (P.I.)/Project Scientist with the largest funding, approximately over $16M from various funding sources. Duties encompass research focused administrative support and organizational management of multiple projects necessary for completion of work on a timely and professional basis. Provide research and technical support for various projects, the incumbent will act as administrative point of contact and facilitator for the P.I. and external funders in addressing issues as they arise. Duties include working with P.I. and collaborators on proposal preparations, facilitating communications, edit and prepare reports and correspondence on the P.I.'s behalf. Coordinate and manage various functions to expedite special committee projects and programs. Serve as administrative liaison to the committees, programs and projects supervised by the P.I., both nationally and internationally. Assist Center Business Manager and Asst. Business Manager in the financial management of the Center's Sales and Services and Business Contract funds with approximately $8 million budget by providing support in financial analysis and accounting, including pre-award proposal preparation and post-award activities. Work on special assignments as needed. Work as a team member with other administrative staff. The position will work independently, set work priorities and analyze access and confidentiality issues on an ad hoc basis.
