Job Description:
SUNY Orange is seeking a diverse individual to be our Procurement Manager. The Procurement Manager performs specialized and technical duties associated with the procurement function. This includes but is not limited to the coordination and administration of BIDs and RFPs to identify supplier and vendor sources for the College's needs. The Procurement Manager will successfully negotiate with vendors for the purchase of all materials, supplies, equipment, and services used by our institution, with the goal of achieving the best possible value and service guarantees for the products purchased. The Procurement Manager will also ensure that the College follows the regulations and guidelines pertaining to procurement. This role will also maintain and build relationships with the College's suppliers/vendors and ensure that terms and agreements are adhered to.
Requirements:
Education Required: Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field
Experience Required: Five (5) years of purchasing management responsibilities; demonstrated experience in achieved cost savings, shared services, and/or the purchase of sustainable products; excellent communication and negotiating skills; strong analytical skills.

Salary range: $72,592-90,397 per annum; commensurate with experience. This is a Staff & Chair, Grade 60, 12 month position.
