Hiring Range: $37.12-$39.42
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Pro-rated based on hours/week.
This position is eligible for remote or hybrid work within PNWU's catchment region of Washington State, Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.

Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) non-profit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.

The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Arts in Medical Science, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and/or colleges. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five state region.

PNWU is located in Yakima, WA, a city of approximately 95,000 located in the south central part of the state near the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains in a major agricultural and outdoor recreation region. General Summary:
Reporting to Technology Services, the Senior Business Analyst will work across university departments in maturing business and technical processes. This position will identify business problems and opportunities and lead project teams consisting of functional and technical resources to enact organizational change.

Essential Job Functions:
Business process analysis including approvals, e-signatures, and other types of workflow using system-specific tools and enterprise-wide tools like Power Automate.
Works with functional teams across the university with special focus in support areas such as Human Resources, Finance, and Technology Services to identify business problems and work with existing and proposed systems to improve outcomes.
New system requirements gathering, selection, and implementation.
Participates in technical and non-technical projects in a variety of roles, including project management.
Identifies, automates, and simplifies enterprise and departmental system data integrations.
Assists in reporting and performing root cause analysis with service management tools Assist in training functional teams on enterprise systems administration.
Performs other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.

Requirements
Education:
Required: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred: Business Analyst certification from either IIBA or PMI

Experience:
Required: 4-6 years
Required: Experience with financial, human resources, and other administrative systems and processes
Required: Experience in project teams in a variety of roles

Desired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge in process improvement frameworks/methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, BPM, TQM, and/or kaizen continuous improvement; knowledge in SQL database design and reporting tools; knowledge in Azure/Microsoft 365 products including Power Automate and PowerBI; skill in effective communication (both written and oral); skill in independent decision making; skill in performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature; and skill in problem solving.
