We're searching for a dynamic individual who can effectively advise and support our students through the financial aid process. Here's what we're looking for in an ideal candidate:

What You'll Be Doing:
As an Undergraduate Student Financial Services Advisor, your role will encompass a range of responsibilities, including:

Providing one-on-one counseling, telephone, and email support to students regarding tuition payment options and financial aid information.
Guiding students through the financial aid process, including various loan programs and institutional aid policies.
Educating students on financial aid program guidelines, regulations, and deadlines.
Verifying student status in the financial aid process and assisting with necessary documentation.
Advising students and parents on tuition payment options and financial considerations.
Ensuring timely and accurate student account information is provided.
Communicating with lenders and guarantors to resolve loan-related issues.
Collaborating with various offices to address registration and financial aid issues.
Following up with students regarding delinquent accounts and financial holds.
Taking on responsibility for supporting specialty areas as assigned.
Occasionally participating in events outside of regular working hours, such as Welcome Week and financial aid presentations.

Qualifications:
We're looking for a candidate who brings a combination of experience and qualities that will excel in this role:

Education and Experience:
A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. If you have experience working in financial services at a university, that's a bonus!

Computer Proficiency:
You should be proficient in using Google Suites (Gmail, Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft Products (Work and Excell), and if you're familiar with Workday, CashNet &PowerFAIDS, that's a definite plus.

Physical Requirements:
The work is primarily sedentary and may require sitting for extended periods of time. Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Vision to read documents, e-mail and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor. Hearing and speaking to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone. Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 10 lbs throughout the day.
