Position Description
Performs managerial work providing direction and guidance in setting and achieving goals and objectives; developing policies; reviewing guidelines, procedures, rules, and regulations; establishing priorities, standards, and measurement tools for determining progress in meeting goals; coordinating and evaluating program activities; and establishing and monitoring budget. May plan, assign, and supervise the work of others. Works under limited supervision with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of scholarship strategies for multiple colleges/departments/programs.
  • Ensure clarity and coordination of awarding communications with all stakeholders.
  • Provide day-to-day end user support for scholarship programs for both staff and student audiences.
  • Assist with data collection and dissemination of findings.
  • Perform data management tasks and basic analysis of scholarship accounts.
  • Coordinate scholarship awarding functions of the assigned colleges/departments including monitoring spendable fund balances, disbursement analysis and reporting, and awarding of scholarships according to University Operating Procedures.
  • Support daily tasks within the Scholarship Office to include monitoring the general inbox, reviewing financial aid overawards, and participation in student-facing events such as Red Raider Orientation and campus visit days in an effort to educate and support families and students.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in area of expertise or closely related area required. Three years of experience in planning, developing, or implementing programs/projects or research grants. Additional education may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working with financial data and demonstrated customer service orientation
