What will you do as an Administrative Program Coordinator?
  • You will work with the Director of Alumni & Community Engagement to provide logistical support for CHC-sponsored social activities for alumni and families throughout the academic year. You'll support career readiness initiatives, such as alumni panels and networking events. You will help maintain data collected about our alumni community, support ongoing stewardship efforts, and assist in the creation of donor impact reports.
  • After learning how to use CourseLeaf and Banner for class scheduling, you'll participate in building class schedules, assigning classrooms, and collaborating with UO Registrar to ensure accuracy in our academic schedule. You will also work with the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies to collect course information and connect with CHC faculty to coordinate teaching schedules.
  • You will take the lead on planning for large, all-College events, receptions, and academic functions; and help with the early planning and implementation of Week of Welcome events and other student-facing programming throughout the year.
  • You will also support the UO Undergraduate Research Symposium by facilitating CHC student participation in the event and manage data collection and record-keeping of CHC students who participate.

Who are you? (Minimum Qualifications)
  • You have three years of office experience which includes two years at full performance level and experience generating documents, and
  • You have taken lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience working with a wide variety of stakeholders and audiences, including diverse ages, backgrounds, and non-native English speakers
  • At least two years of previous experience being the lead in organizing, orchestrating, and implementing events, including remote events using Zoom or other platforms
  • Experience developing and executing event budgets
  • Experience working with and evaluating both qualitative and quantitative data
  • Experience working with Office 365, especially proficiency with MS Excel and MS Teams
  • Direct project management experience, including managing more than one project at the same time in various stages of development; and managing projects with 6- to 12-month lead times
  • Experience working in a large organization or institution, including working across various areas and departments

Who are we?

The Robert D. Clark Honors College is a liberal arts honors college of roughly 1,200 students within the University of Oregon. Founded in 1960, it is one of the oldest public university honors colleges in the United States. The College features a newly restructured curriculum, providing students with a strong interdisciplinary foundation in the liberal arts. Small classes, capped at 19 students, discussion based interdisciplinary courses and completion of a thesis (capstone) project are hallmarks of the CHC experience. Honors College students pursue majors in every school and college at the UO.
